How the application works and what it is for
Customer, vehicle and contract records
AUTODILNA DB QT was created as a practical database application for smaller car service, pneumatic service or a separate workshop. The basic working model connects the customer with his vehicle and a specific service contract. The purpose is not to replace the large-scale ERP system, but to have a traceable service history, work done, prices and notes on the vehicle.
A typical scenario starts with establishing or searching for a customer, assigning a vehicle and creating a contract - for example, oil exchanges. The contract may be accompanied by the information necessary for a later check and account. This separates the identity of the customer, long-term registration of the car and individual service interventions.
Documentation of the vehicle and annex
The records include image attachments. The vehicle photo or detail of the defect can be stored together with the record, so the database is not only a price list, but also as an operational documentation of the actual condition when received or corrected.
Prices, export and VAT
The output can be exported to XLSX. The table export also includes VAT formulas to go further open, check or process in the ordinary office workflow. This approach keeps data in an open and easily transferable format outside the application itself.
Backup and renewal
The menu offers directly operations Backup and Restore. For service database, it is important that the standard maintenance is not dependent on manual copying of files outside the application. The advance is therefore part of the standard working procedure, not just the development function.
graphical interface and batch mode
The primary way of work is the graphical Qt interface, but the project also contains the basis of batch mode mode. It is useful for service and technical operations, or for further automation without the need to go through the entire graphical interface workflow.
