Author profile (Architect of local struktur)

I am an independent software engineer, hardware experimenter and digital architect going by the pseudonym Baz00k@_CZ. My work does not reflect the modern trends of ephemeral web applications dependent on external APIs, cloud services or permanent online surveillance. I focus on developing highly optimized, low-level native systems and desktop applications (Python / Qt / PyQt / ttkbootstrap / C++) that take full control of local disk arrays, memory structures and audio hardware.

My scope ranges from the development of robust automated film and music archive managers to diagnostic benchmarks measuring the response of system resources to low-level vector geometry generators for oscilloscopes. Every line of code that leaves my ponk meets strict modularity criteria, is strictly type-annotated, has asynchronous processes, and is conceived within an integrated, interconnected ecosystem.

Programming Philosophy & Manifesto

I reject the software-as-a-service (SaaS) model. I consider software to be the digital equivalent of a precisely sharpened mechanical tool - it must function deterministically, isolated from extraneous influences and with absolute reliability. My engineering standards define these solid pillars:

1. Absolute data sovereignty

All data (metadata, playback history, configuration) is stored locally in portable SQLite files. No telemetry, no cloud, no remote license verification.

2. Workflow in the first place

The application must not tire of unnecessary overhead. Interfaces are optimized for extreme speed, deep keyboard shortcuts and zero latency disk operations.

3. Developer Determinism

I decompose the chaos in distribution data and filenames into atomic elements. Logical parser modules automatically extract technical and content parameters with 100% care.

4. Dual-Licensing & Open Modularity

I build the project architecture on the principle of separate, reusable subsystems. For each core I provide dedicated local satellites (generators, theme editors, localization managers).

Research laboratories & Audio-Visual research

My development activity is parallely accompanied by deep low-level research in the field of signal processing, emulation of old hardware and multimedia deconstruction:

🧪 Laboratory 01: Vector oscilloscope synthesis (WaveGenerator Project)

Within the experimental platform BP_XY_WaveGenerator_0.1.8.0 I deal with real-time generation of sound waveforms intended for drawing complex geometric structures and mathematical figures (Lissajous curves) on XY inputs of oscilloscopes.

Research includes software emulation of retro sound chips (legendary 8-bit processor MOS Technology SID from Commodore 64 or family of programmable sound generators AY-3-8910). I research real-time audio routing, polyphonic voice allocation, MIDI synchronization, latency suppression in the Qt engine and deterministic transformation of sound to image, where the audio signal forms a direct visual construct.

🧪 Laboratory 02: Deconstruction and audit of video-artifacts

I deal with the deconstruction of dynamic video into static data objects. I developed advanced asynchronous chains built on the robust FFmpeg pipeline that enable hold-to-capture capture of image samples at accurate frames per second (FPS) up to the native rate of the source file. These captured fragments are automatically compiled into clear HTML galleries (contact sheets) for immediate visual audit, validation and archiving of extensive offline libraries.

Robust desktop manager and analyzer of large personal movie collections stored on local drives or network NAS servers.

Main benefit for users: Automates the complete organization of the film archive. The integrated Watchdog in the background recursively monitors selected folders, identifies new files (.mp4, .mkv, .avi), cleans their names from distribution noise and downloads complete metadata and covers by combining API queries (TMDb, OMDb) and web scraping by Czech providers (ČSFD, FDb) using advanced fallback logic and confidence scores. It can export the generated library to 7 responsive HTML templates, CSV, JSON or Excel XLSX with embedded cover thumbnails.
Over 30 technical and content fields for recording (codecs, resolution, file_hash, dubbing, subtitles).
Full-text SQLite FTS5 search index for lightning response over thousands of files.
Centralized management of covers with a unified deterministic naming format.
MaVi Player
MaVi Player (MaruškaVideoPlayer)
v0.2.1.36 (January 2026) Baz00k@ Dual-Licensing PyQt / QtMultimedia / FFmpeg

Multimedia player designed as a comprehensive development and archiving workbench. Fully functional in standalone mode, with optional deep integration into the MFilmDB database core.

Main benefit for users: It stops being just a passive playback window. In database mode, it serves as a direct frontend for your collection - it reads synopses and posters from MFilmDB and writes back the viewing history, rating or increments the play_count to the database. It offers a professional module for hold-to-capture shooting with a fixed FPS, generation of preview HTML contact sheets, transparent SubtitleOverlay with its own font, outline rendering and an integrated subtitle correction editor.
Deterministic FFmpeg shooting with a strict file naming structure.
Compact UI modules: Full overview, Mini window and dedicated WinAmp Skin Controller for extreme savings desktop.
Integrated FFmpeg Tools Manager ensuring autonomous download, detection and management of codec system paths.
AudioDB
AudioDB & ADB Player QT
v3.1.1.06 / v0.1.2.4 (2026) Freeware Ecosystem Python / Qt / SQLite

A comprehensive system for deep indexing of low-level music files, modification tracker, albums and associated highly optimized audio player built on Qt.

Main benefit for users: Allows the user to catalog and manage local music archives in detail including specific meta-tags of chiptune formats and tracker tracks. Linked ADB Player QT provides immediate response when browsing large playlists, low system load and direct real-time connection to AudioDB database indexes without the need to slowly load files from disk during search.
Advanced indexing of low-level audio parameters and specific tags.
Optimized player buffer for smooth browsing of millions of playlists.
Mass validation, disk file integrity check and structured music overview exports.

2. Diagnostics, System Utilities & Real-time monitoring

FileSystemMonitor & Backuper
FileSystemMonitor & Backuper QT
v1.0.0.02 / v0.1.0.2 (2026) System Utilities Python / Qt / OS Hooks

A low-level system service monitoring I/O operations of disk arrays and an associated incremental backup manager without the need for a cloud.

Main benefit for users: FileSystemMonitor captures in real time any changes (creation, deletion, modification of files) on local disks or network NAS storage and immediately sends signals to other applications in the ecosystem (e.g. for lightning Quick Scan in MFilmDB). Based on these events, Backuper QT provides automated, safe local snapshots of critical databases without unnecessary overwriting of unchanged sectors.
Low-level hooks on file system events with minimal CPU overhead.
Adjustable process debounce interval preventing duplicate writes and event loops.
Transaction history, error status logging disk and automatic creation of SNAPSHOT backups of databases.
AmiBenchmark
AmiBenchmark & AmiBenchmark QT
v0.50.25a / v1.0.0.0 (2026) Diagnostic Tool Amicable Numbers / benchmark / Qt

Benchmarking application focused on amicable numbers calculations. AmiBenchmark is the historical predecessor of the later DCBench and was created as a practical tool for comparing computing configurations in a distributed computing environment.

Main benefit for users: It allows you to compare the performance of different computers on a specific computing task and store comparable results. The AmiBenchmark → DCBench development line later extended the principle to include a structured database of configurations, validation and management of results.
Calculations of amicable numbers as a reproducible benchmark load.
Separate classic and Qt branch focusing on clear results and configuration comparison.
Direct development predecessor of DCBench — a benchmark and database tool for distributed computing.
