BBB Browser QT

Overview

BBB Browser QT is the primary browser variant in the MFilmDB ecosystem. The priority is compatibility with local exports (file: / /), high usability in desktop workflow and robust state persistence. Unlike common internet browsers, it is designed for offline scenarios: it allows reliable work with local HTML reports, media and crossdisk sources without unwanted blocking, but at the same time it maintains a controlled security model (www _ secure / plugin gating) to be suitable for long-term QA, archival and production data traffic.

The plugin is optional and the UI is created only when a valid load of the plugin is used.

8.3 Gating rule

If the plugin is missing or does not pass the API validation, no plugin UI (menu / toolbar / context) is created; only a single startup log with reason will be made.

Troubleshooting

• QtWebEngine import fail: check active env and installation of WebEngine packages.
• UI plugin missing: plugin is optimum; check startup log reason.
• Multipanel restore does not fit: Switch the layout manually and save the new snapshot.
• file: / / links fail: verify the absolute path and the existence of target files.
