DCBench
Independent benchmark and database application for measuring, auditing and comparing computer performance over reproducible CPU and GPU workloads.
From AmiBenchmark to the audited database
DCBench follows up on AmiBenchmark, but extends a simple performance test to the team database of computers and results. The user works with his computers and measurements, while the authoritarian MASTER database is separated from the working data, auditable and digitally signed. Public XLSX is readable snapshot, not the only authority.
Benchmarks and sending results
- CPU and GPU benchmark paws based on reproducible workloads.
- The binding of the result to hardware, application, version, workload and validation rules.
- Structured submission package and check before inclusion in the MASTER layer.
- Filter by user, team, CPU, GPU, project, application and ISA.
- Compare Graphs, revision diff and optional power or power telemetry.
- BOINC Slot Shim for local reproduction runtime environment of selected science applications.
Relationship to BOINC CNT
DCBench can use BOINC workloads and data, but it is not part of BOINC Manager. Both applications develop separately and have their own purpose and release cycle.
How the application works and what it is for
Data model
DCBench separates computer, CPU, GPU, operating system, BOINC project, science application, version, workload and result. This prevents the incomparable tests from being poured into one number. The missing value remains unknown and is not replaced by zero.
