What the project solves
DiskAdmin_QT is a tool designed for service operations over disks and partitions on Windows. The application unites several tools and workflows into one graphical interface:
Typical use
- Service of data disk before reinstallation
Disk and brake-safety parts service
DiskAdmin QT unifies the standard service operations over Windows drives into one graphical interface. Inventures physical disks and parts via PowerShell, uses disks for selected interventions and includes workflow for lubrication, clean, creating new parts, formatting and managing unit letters. The aim is to accelerate repeated service work, but at the same time reduce the risk of error against manual command entry.
Protection of destructive actions and audit
Destructive steps are not designed as one click without control. The application displays the identity of the target disk, checks the system / boot symptoms and requires explicit confirmation by a security checkbox. The process is written into the log and can be exported TXT or HTML report before / after the intervention, so that service operations have a traceable audit trail.
Storage Spaces and Operating Regimens
In addition to the classic parts of the application, the management of Windows Storage Spaces pools is included. UI can be launched on other platforms for development, but diskpart / PowerShell operations are based on Windows 10 / 11. Part of this is persistent configuration of window, custom chrome and tray mode.
How the application works and what it is for
One interface for service work with drives
DiskAdmin QT is a service tool for Windows that unites the inventory of disks and parts with selected administrator interventions. Instead of switching between Disk Control, PowerShell and DiskPart command tools, the DiskPart provides one working environment for repeated service operations.
Safety brakes
Destructive actions are not designed as a mindless "one click." The application shows the identity of the target disk, checks sensitive system symptoms and requires explicit confirmation for critical steps. The safety layer is an important part of the tool, because the service workflow speed must not be redeemed at a higher risk of data loss.
