What the project solves
Irfan Mylite QT Generator is a skeleton generator that owns Qt6 image viewer inspired by IrfanView workflow. Instead of manually creating menus, dialogues and actions, it allows you to select the desired functions and build the basis of the new application.
How the application works and what it is for
Overview
Irfan- MyLite Generator It serves to clean and optimize the installation of IrfanView. Removes unnecessary plugins, language files and help, reducing the size from ~ 20MB to ~ 3MB while maintaining key features for viewing movie posters.
Function
- Plugin Stripper: Only JPEG.dll, PNG.dll and GIF.dll are retained.
- INI Injector: Presetting of optimum parameters (fit image to window, dark theme) for MPlimDB.
- Portable Build: The output is a self-activable folder ready for immediate use.
Extended profile
Irfan Mylite QT Generator is a skeleton generator with its own light image-viewer application inspired by IrfanView ergonomics. Instead of manually setting up menus, dialogues, toolbar and bar status, the desired parts are selected in the generator and the result is a new Python / Qt base ready for further development.
Optional building blocks
The generator knows the structure of menu File, Edit, Image, View and Help and prepares dialogues for example for resize / resimple, batch operations, slideshow, thumbnails, color corrections, hotkeys and About. The individual feature can be switched on / off, so the resulting skeleton may not contain everything.
Toolbar and navigation
The same way toolbar events like Open / Save, Previous / Next and Zoom In / Out are composed and corresponding parts of the status of the bar. Output gets timestamp name IrfanLite_YYMMDD_HHMMSS.py, so that more generated variants can be maintained alongside each other without rewriting the previous prototype.
