How the application works and what it is for
Overview
MaVi Player (MaruškaVideoPlayer) represents the stable multimedia core of the MFilmDB project. Version 0.2.1.35 ("WinAmp Skin DnD Parity Edition") closes drag & drop pipeline for WinAmp skin packages i media / subtitles across all major drop inputs (main, eventFilter, winamp controller, checked video).
- Primary engine: QtMultimedia (Backend: FFmpeg / GStreamer according to OS).
- Specialization: Loose-free capture, playlist management and automatic metadata synchronization from the MFilmDB.
- Philosophy: "Single-source rule" - elimination of overlapping multiple subtitles sources simultaneously.
This is the total amount of subordinated mutual member accounts that meet the criteria for Tier 1.
Subtitles Parity Edition
Full support for API. Switching between the embedded MKV tracks and external SRT / VTT without the need for reboot.
FFmpeg Capture Engine
The integration of FFmpeg for the "Hold- to-capture" series (P / Shift + P). EnimGIF and Timelaps support with their own FPS optimization.
Hybrid UI (skins)
Switching look between modern Qt window and "Legacy WinAmp" mode using SVG assets and BMP backgrounds.
Persistence & History
Saving the position in the playlist, volume and last selected subtitle track into the JSON / SQLite database.
Supported formats
MaVi Player uses codecs installed in the system via QtMultimedia backend.
- Video: MKV (matorska), MP4, AVI, WMV, MOV, FLV.
- Audio: MP3, FLAC, WAV, AAC, OGG.
- Subtitles: SRT (SubRip), VTT (WebVTT), ASS / SSA (Advanced Substation Alpha).
Application
MaVi player is designed as a portable player launched directly from the folder Or with launchers.
- From command line:
- Drag & Drop: Drag the video file directly to the application window or the launcher icon.
- Playlist: Aid for: and internal playlist formats.
Function and UI
- WinAmp Skin: The regime emulating the classic WinAmp (main.bmp background, z-order button handling).
- Capture: Screenshots, hold- to-capture series, AnimGIF (FPS / optimization), Timelapse (intervals).
- Marquee: The header name automatically scrolls if it exceeds the window width.

Troubleshooting

- The application supports switching to compact mode that emulate the appearance of classic players from 90. Flight (so-called WinAmp / skins mode).
