Legacy graphical interface tool for clear audio/video metadata dump; in the portfolio it is preserved as the predecessor of the newer Qt variant Dump AV QT.
What the project solves
Legacy graphical interface tool for clear audio/video metadata dump; in the portfolio it is preserved as the predecessor of the newer Qt variant Dump AV QT.
Typical use
- Fast check of audio / video file metadata
- Historical comparison with newer Qt variant
How the application works and what it is for
Original graphical interface Generation Tools Listing AV
the AV graphical interface listing is an older graphic generation of tools for fast audio / video file overview and metadata. In the portfolio it is preserved not only as a historical version, but also as a development prestage of today's significantly larger Qt variant.
The meaning of the original instrument
The basic problem was practical: when working with a larger number of multimedia files it is slow to open each file separately or read technical data from several different programs. graphical interface therefore concentrated the listing of the necessary data in one working perspective and simplified the rapid control of the collection.
Audio / video metadata
The application was aimed at a clear display of technical data of multimedia files. It was used to check source material, compare files and as an aid for the organization of audio / video collections.
Development continuity
The project is important mainly as a basis for later Dump AV QT. The newer Qt branch gradually added robust background scan, statistics by directories, TXT / HTML export, filtering, searching and other workflow. These newer functions are not retroactively issued as properties of this legacy version; the page remains a clearly preserved generation resolution.
Why does it remain in the portfolio
Older programs show the development of tools over time and the reasons why their newer options have been created. the list of AV graphical interface is therefore not replaced by a single sentence "depressed," but forms a documented part of the history of the ecosystem's own software.
